Hi everyone,
I recently got access to an older property that has an attic space which hasn’t been opened or cleaned in a very long time. From what I’ve seen so far, there’s a mix of old storage items, thick dust buildup, and possibly some moisture-related issues in certain corners.
I’m trying to figure out the safest and most practical way to approach this kind of cleanup. Should the first step always be full decluttering, or is it better to inspect and treat potential issues (like mold or pests) before moving anything?
Also wondering if anyone here has experience working with professional attic cleanup services. I came across Patriot Attic Recovery while researching options, but I’m still trying to understand when it actually makes sense to bring in professionals versus handling it step by step on your own.
Would really appreciate any advice or real-world experiences from people who’ve dealt with similar situations.
