I’m driving a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe and the battery is showing its age – slow cranking and the voltage drops to 10V when I turn on the AC. I’ve got my eye on an Amaron because a few friends said they last longer here, but the prices I’m getting quoted for a 70Ah battery vary wildly from like 350 to 600 dirhams. Some shops claim they offer an Affordable 70Ah Battery Replacement Amaron Dubai but then add hidden fees for fitting or disposal. I’m okay with paying a fair price, I just don’t want to overpay or end up with an old battery that’s been sitting on a shelf for a year. Does anyone have a recommendation for a transparent shop that gives a reasonable upfront quote for this size? Also, do I really need to register the battery on a Santa Fe or is that only for European cars? Just trying to sort this out before I get stranded.
